“Dirty Faces” is Inspired by the layers of people that inevitably reveal themselves as you get closer – they slowly slide out, as well as an overwhelming feeling of loss of identity, where you constantly feel as if you are an imposture of yourself, hence everything that was you before inevitably starts to leak out. I hope this piece evokes a sense of peace and wonder in the audience as it does for me, assuring that this feeling of being lost is normal. This is an ode to both perspectives of receiver and giver in the sense that you can feel betrayed whilst losing yourself in the process.
